The Zoo Education Road Trip was taken between June and July of 2012. The academic component of the project was completed in December of 2012. I graduated from the University of Alabama in December of 2013 and I am currently completing a 2nd Year Education College Internship with the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. This site has now been archived.

The following is a quick summary and index of the Zoo Education Road Trip.

Over the months of June and July, I traveled to ten zoos across the United States. At each zoo, I interviewed education staff, visited educational facilities, collected educational materials including brochures and flyers, and was given a tour of the zoo. For nine of the zoos I wrote an in-depth summary of my visit (one zoo was not able to meet with me formally). I have also archived physical records including all materials collected, recordings of interviews, and video blogs about each zoo.
